Free college admissions and financial aid seminar

Image Rep. Aaron Ling Johanson (Moanalua, Foster Village, Aiea) invites high school students and their families to a college admissions and financial aid seminar as they prepare for the college application process. The event is free and open to the public.

“As someone who has worked in college admissions and now works on education issues at the state level, I understand how important college is to our young people and how vital the applications process can be to a person’s future,” said Rep. Johanson. “Students work so hard in high school and set great goals for college, but many need help with the transition to get there.”

WHO:       High school students and their families are invited to speak with expert high school college counselors and admissions staff from all UH campuses

WHAT:    Expert tips about applying for college and financial aid and a mini college fair with displays and informational booths

WHEN:    7:00-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013

WHERE: Pearl Ridge Elementary School Cafeteria, 98-940 Moanalua Road, Aiea

Representative Aaron Ling Johanson represents the 31st House District and serves as House Minority Leader and Vice Chair of the Finance Committee.  He served in multiple roles in the Yale College Undergraduate Admissions Office during his time at the school.
